Welcome to GET Therapy Chicago
At GET Therapy Chicago, we provide Genuine, Empathic, and Transformative therapy for individuals, couples and families.
It is our mission to support and guide you to your best self through meaningful change, growth, and mindfulness.
N. Brian Tobin is a licensed clinical social worker (L.C.S.W.) located in the heart of Chicago.
I work with individuals and groups on a variety of topics, issues and concerns ranging from depression, anxiety, ADHD, anger management, abandonment, attachment, sexual and physical trauma, alcohol and substance abuse to relationship struggles, parent-child relationships, and work-place performance.
I have facilitated groups centered around masculinity, wellness and mindfulness, depression and anxiety as well as provided individual therapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
I have known and felt the devastation, isolation, and stigma of coping with depression and anxiety issues and can attest to the strength and resilience needed to face mental illness head-on and fight day in and day out.
My therapeutic approach utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with influences of Client-Centered Therapy and Humanistic Philosophy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as specialized trauma-focused therapy utilizing Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Aetna Insurance and am located in the South Loop in Downtown Chicago.
